H.R.1133 – Veterans Transplant Coverage Act of 2017

Brief

Under HR 1133 the Department of Veterans Affairs is authorized to provide for an operation on a live organ donor to carry out a transplant procedure for a veteran even if the donor is not eligible for VA healthcare.

The operation may be at a non-VA facility and the VA will furnish to the donor any care of services required before and after the procedure.
