Brief

HR 1491 ratifies taking 1427 acres of Santa Barbara County, CA into trust for the Santa Ynez Band of the Chumash Indians, adding the land to the current reservation.

The bill also ratifies two other actions; that actions taken by the Secretary relating to trust-free acquisition of the land and actions also taken by the Secretary to dismiss appeals relating to that trust-free acquisition.
